St. Expedite Anniversary
It’s been three years since I first dedicated a home altar to St. Expedite. I celebrated on Wednesday with fresh flowers, homemade poundcake, and new gifts, including a 7-day from @artsncraftspgh—an amazing local botanica.
Our gardens are finally gaining momentum after a volatile spring. We had a few days of consistent sun this week and took full advantage.
I’m fortunate that we were able to nearly triple our growing space this year. There’s a lot of work ahead, most of which will likely take most of summer, but my dreams include a cut flower garden, multiple tomato patches, and grapes.
Over the next week or so, I’ll be prepping for my upcoming pilgrimage to the trail. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to spend a long stretch in the deep forest, and I’m grateful for the chance to learn from and reconnect with friends, the mountains, and spirit.
I’ll have a couple dozen copies of Riverbank Saints and a handful of Mary statuettes available this Monday, June 8th around noon (ET). For June, 100% of all profits from items listed “in offering” will be sent to @the.auto.body.shop, a Pittsburgh-based mobile resource supporting bodily autonomy, harm reduction, and community care.
The solstice is on the horizon (June 21st) along with St. John’s Eve (June 23rd), one of the most potent nights of the year for magic. My plan is to harvest my first big bundles of herbs at midnight before St. John’s Day. Our sage has been thriving this spring, so I’m looking forward to stocking my cabinet with a midsummer-powered batch.
