St. Expedite's ladder

Saint Expedite’s feast day is coming up on April 19th so I wanted to weave a new ladder in his honor. I started with fresh willow branches and braided them with carnations, then formed it into a wreath as usual.

I always read that Expedite gets an attitude anytime his space is neglected and ain’t that the truth. Last week, after taking an hour to weave the ladder, I didn’t have time to clean the rest of his altar and said I’d finish the following day. As I was removing the candle, I tipped over the incense dish, spilling ash everywhere. Once I got everything clean, I went to replace the vase with last week’s flowers and accidentally knocked that over too, water and all.

I’m usually not clumsy but he got his clean altar and fresh flowers.

I’m still really loving the wooden shutters I found antiquing and that they allow Ex to have an even quicker exit.

The last few weeks have been pretty dark so tending to the house spirits has helped pull me back to the surface (hearthcraft, am I right?). I’m still going strong with Lenormand and continue to be fascinated by how the cards talk.

The eclipse was fine.
